Privacy Policy

Short version: We collect no personal data whatsoever. All tool processing happens entirely inside your browser. Nothing you type, paste, upload, or generate is ever sent to our servers - because we don't have any server-side processing to begin with.

1. Data Collection

Simple ToolBox does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data. We do not:

Track your usage or behavior
Use analytics tools (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.)
Log IP addresses or session information
Require account creation or email addresses
Display targeted advertisements

2. Local Processing

Every tool on this site runs entirely within your web browser using standard JavaScript APIs such as Web Crypto API, TextEncoder, and JSON.parse.

Any text, files, or data you provide to a tool never leave your device. There are no API calls, no backend servers processing your input, and no data transmission of any kind related to your usage of the tools.

3. Cookies & Local Storage

We do not set any tracking cookies. We may use localStorage or sessionStorage solely to persist your tool preferences (e.g., selected indent size, last-used mode) within your browser. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to us.

4. Third-Party Services

We use a minimal number of third-party services:

GitHub Pages - for hosting static files. GitHub may log standard web server access logs (IP, user agent, timestamp) as part of their infrastructure. See GitHub's Privacy Statement.
Google Fonts - see section 5 below.

5. Google Fonts

We load fonts (Inter, JetBrains Mono) from Google Fonts CDN. When your browser requests these fonts, your IP address is sent to Google's servers. Google may log these requests according to their own privacy policy. If you prefer not to use Google Fonts, you can block the requests in your browser or use a content blocker.

6. Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Since we collect no personal data from any user, this section is largely academic.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of Simple ToolBox after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
