What is PDF Watermark?
PDF Watermark is a browser-based tool that lets you stamp a custom text watermark on every page of a PDF file. You control the position (diagonal center or any corner/edge), font size, opacity, and color. Because the entire process runs inside your browser using PDF.js and jsPDF, your document never leaves your device.
How to Use PDF Watermark
- Drop a PDF onto the upload area, or click to browse and select one.
- Enter your watermark text —for example "CONFIDENTIAL" or "DRAFT".
- Choose a position: Diagonal Center covers the full page; corner and edge options place the text discreetly.
- Adjust font size, opacity (10-90%), and color to match your needs.
- Click "Update Preview" to see how page 1 will look.
- Click "Apply to All Pages & Download" to generate and save the watermarked PDF.

No. The entire process runs inside your browser using PDF.js and jsPDF. Your file never leaves your device.
The output PDF is rasterized —each page is rendered to a canvas image and then embedded into the new PDF. The original text layer and vector content are replaced by a high-resolution image. This is the standard trade-off for client-side watermarking without a server.
You can set opacity between 10% and 80%. A value of 30% is a good default —visible enough to mark the document but not so heavy that it obscures the content.
Yes. The watermark is applied to every page of the PDF automatically. A progress bar tracks rendering. For very large PDFs, processing may take a moment depending on your device.
