Frequently Asked Questions
PNG

Use PNG for web pages, presentations, and social media. Use SVG for print materials such as business cards or posters, since SVG scales to any size without losing quality.

What is Error Correction Level?

Error correction allows a QR code to be read even if part of it is damaged or obscured. Level L (7%) is most compact; Level H (30%) tolerates the most damage. When you add a logo, the tool automatically switches to Level H.

How much data can a QR code hold?

The maximum depends on the error correction level. At Level L, a QR code can store up to 2,953 bytes of data. At Level H, the limit is 1,273 bytes. URLs are typically 50—00 characters, well within limits.

Does the QR code expire?

QR codes generated here are static —they do not expire and contain no tracking. The data is encoded directly in the image. For dynamic QR codes that can be updated, you would need a separate redirect service.
